Hello Beautiful People!

My name is Shalie Kae Bireta, the blogger behind Bireta Bites - the real, raw, unedited - all things health and  wellness blog. Before my blogging days began, I became  the amateur chef and author of the ebook Bireta Bites – food fueling fitness, available on Blurb and iBooks.

I grew up learning about the benefits of a natural, organic, and holistic lifestyle from my mother, a health teacher. I have come to nurture and value this lifestyle, finding myself to be fascinated by all aspects of health and wellness, but especially nutrition...

What's The Spark Stuff and Why Is Everyone Switching to the Spark Side?

A year and a half ago, I was chugging 6-7 cups of coffee to power through my 12-14 hour workdays. I was still exhausted. I was jittery. I was anxious. I thought this was what I had to do to suffer through. Then, I was introduced to spark.... AND THE GAME CHANGED. 1-2 spark a day and I am focused, clear headed, ready to ROCK N ROLL. No more jitters. No more dry cotton like mouth and endless thirst. No more almost falling asleep on my keyboard in the afternoon.

Maybe you've seen me share on social media as I sip on my spark. Maybe you've heard a friend stop their pop or energy consumption by switching to spark... so you're intrigued. WHAT IS THIS SPARK STUFF?! Well, let me tell you why everyone is switching to the spark side.

What is Spark?

- sugar free

- energy and enhanced mental focus - NO JITTERS!...

- 20 vitamins, minerals and nutrients

- contains an effective amount of caffeine to give you a quick boost

- B vitamins to enhance your body's natural ability to produce and sustain its own energy!

- neuroactive amino acids that help increase your mental focus and alertness

Spark is your coffee/energy drink/ pop replacement, afternoon pick me up, boost before a workout.

It can be used anytime, ANYWHERE.

-flavors - cherry, limeaid, blue raspberry, green apple, mandrain orange, mango starwberry, pink lemonade, watermelon. brand new: raspberry lemonade (sweetened with stevia!)

Maybe I should speak only for myself but HOPEFULLY, we pack our diets full of fresh vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, healthy fats, and fiber. We try to reduce stress, move our bodies, and opt for a more natural approach to health. But even then, due to poor food quality and depleted soil,

sometimes our diet just doesn't give us the same kind of coverage we need... so we supplement to fill the gaps.

Spark was created by some of the top doctors and nutritionists of the health and wellness fields. I am continually amazed not only by their credentials, but the strategic thought in implementation of the best ingredients to work in unison to best benefit our bodies. As you can see in the ingredient list below, Spark is loaded with B vitamins as apart of the 20 included vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. B vitamins are important for cellular energy, hormonal function, and a healthy metabolism. But what do all those B vitamins actually DO for you?

Vitamins in Spark : Vitamin A (as beta-carotene), Vitamin B-6 (as pyridoxine HCl), Vitamin B-12 (as cyanocobalamin), Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid), Vitamin E (as d-alpha tocopheryl acetate), Thiamine (as HCl), Riboflavin, Niacin (as niacinamide), Pantothenic acid (as calcium pantothenate), Zinc (as zinc monomethionine), Copper (as copper glycinate), Chromium (as chromium citrate), Choline (as bitartrate and citrate), L-Tyrosine, Taurine, Caffeine , Glycine, L-Carnitine (as tartrate)

Vitamin B1

Vitamin B1 is also known as thiamin or thiamine. It's water-soluble and very important for energy metabolism and the healthy growth and function of our body's cells. We can't produce thiamin on our own, which means we have to get it through our diet.

Vitamin B2

Vitamin B2's nickname is riboflavin. Riboflavin is an important part of two major coenzymes (called FMN and FAD) in the body that are critical for energy production, cellular health, and the metabolism of fats and drugs. B vitamins are connected to the bacteria in your gut. Certain microbes living in the large intestine can produce riboflavin, which can then be absorbed and used by your body.

Vitamin B3

Vitamin B3 (also known as niacin) is important for converting food to energy. B3 is also crucial for digestive health, skin health, and the health of nerves.

Vitamin B5

The most important thing to know about vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) is its role in the creation of coenzyme A (CoA).

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 (nickname: pyridoxine) is involved in more than 100 enzyme reactions in the body and plays an especially important role in protein metabolism.

Vitamin A

We need vitamin A for healthy skin and mucus membranes, our immune system, and good eye health and vision.

B12

Vitamin B12 is required for proper red blood cell formation, neurological function, and DNA synthesis.

Vitaminc C

Vitamin C is required for the biosynthesis of collagen, L-carnitine, and certain neurotransmitters; vitamin C is also involved in protein metabolism.

Tyrosine

Tyrosine or 4-hydroxyphenylalanine is one of the 20 standard amino acids that are used by cells to synthesize proteins. It is a non-essential amino acid.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is key for strong immunity and healthy skin and eyes.

Zinc

Zinc is a trace element that is necessary for a healthy immune system. A lack of zinc can make a person more susceptible to disease and illness. It is responsible for a number of functions in the human body, and it helps stimulate the activity of at least 100 different enzymes.

If you have any other questions about spark or would like to know how/where you can get some for yourself, please leave a message on my contact tab or shoot me a message through Facebook.

XOXO, S
